DJ Park Equestrian

At DJ Park, we breed, train and produce horses for Dressage and Jumping.

Our Horses

Our horses are our pride and joy. All of our horses are selected for their type, temperament, trainability and athleticism. The happiness, health and well being of our horses is our priority, with top professionals readily available for consultation in all aspects of their care.  The breeding program is constantly evolving, utilising top bloodlines from overseas via frozen semen and hand picked local bloodlines from Australia, and in 2022 we were extremely fortunate to be entrusted with continuing the famous Koyuna bloodlines through our breeding program as the Clark family took a step back from breeding.

We have a mix of Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Irish Sport Horses and Australian Stock horses. Our bloodlines feature Souvenir and all his famous sons and grandsons including Supreme, Majestic Supreme, Genesis, Quarterback, Linebacker, Endgame, McCartney & Kumali; De Niro, Monopol, Rubenstein, Contender, Monte Bellini, Diarado, Desperados, Caretino, Regardez Moi, Daley K, Dreamtime Park Xzibit, Northern Congress, Brilliant Invader, Flooding, Family Ties, Danehill and Coleman (RID).

We continually strive to enhance the performance of our horses through great stable management (including feeding, worming, vaccination, hoof care, health, and physical therapy) and correct training with coaching from top level Australian and international coaches.

Our Facilities

Our facilities at the new DJ Park in Chiltern are a work in progress, and will be evolving and expanding throughout 2025. We are proud of what we are creating, with attention to details such as practicality, efficiency and safety as our priorities. The round yard is up, with plans underway for an all weather arena and stable complex in the coming months. A cross country course will feature multiple natural obstacles over a range of terrain. Our People

SALLY HUDSON:

Sally's childhood dream of competing at Badminton Horse Trials is the driving force behind DJ Park. Her passion for horses was evident from the moment she could talk, and she started riding at a young age. Competing very successfully through Pony Club in Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping and Games, she represented the Hamilton Pony Club and Wannon Zone at State level in all disciplines before continuing on with eventing as a junior and then senior rider in open competition. She was long listed for an Olympic Athlete Training program in 1994, but put riding on hold in order to pursue a university education. After moving to Melbourne to study, and subsequently attaining her Bachelor of Applied Science degree, she started her career as a Radiation Therapist and gradually worked herself into a position where she could resume her horse riding.

Having always had a passion for educating inexperienced horses and developing them through the levels, Sally has competed successfully through to FEI level on multiple horses. She is now commencing this training process with her own DJ Park bred horses.

Sally began teaching at age 11 by helping her younger sister learn to ride and handle horses. After graduating from university, she rediscovered her talent for helping other riders to develop their skills, attained her NCAS and Pony Club Level 1 Coaching accreditation, and started teaching at several Pony Clubs. She has been teaching regularly for over 25 years, achieved her NCAS

Level 1 accreditation and continually strives to actively improve as a coach and mentor. Her thirst for knowledge means that she is always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and understanding, and she attends seminars, clinics, dissections, reads books, studies with mentors and takes courses in a wide variety of topics.

She specialises in horse and rider position, fitness & biomechanics and has a great eye for ensuring that the horse is moving without being blocked by tension or tightness in the rider's body, and loves the challenge of finding ways to help every horse and rider to improve and achieve their goals regardless of any challenges and developing rehabilitation exercises and fitness programs to assist horses (or riders) recovering from injuries.

More recently she has developed Transformational Coaching tools and methods for helping riders (and non riders!) to release blockages which are preventing them from connecting deeply with their horse or those around them and achieving their goals. These blocks often manifest in the body as physical pain, tension, or crippling anxiety but can arise from mental, emotional or even energetic patterns held in the subconscious and often arise in childhood or years earlier. Many people are finding that these old patterns are no longer serving them, but they do not even fully realise what they are or that they are there- all they know is that they feel "stuck" or like they cannot release tension from their body or take a truly deep breath. Sally has an intuitive ability to know what to ask to shine a light on these blocks, and to guide people to release them.

Sally is also fantastic at assisting rider's who have suffered a loss of confidence or are getting back into riding after a break, and has an innate feel for when to safely stretch a rider out of their comfort zone and when to take a step back and consolidate.

She has never lost her love for horses, and constantly strives to find ways to improve her skills and knowledge so that she can maintain the balance in physical and mental health of her students and horses to help them reach their full potential.

Her other varied interests have led to her to be accredited with the following certifications:

*Certified Essential Oil Coach with the AADP, (2018)

*Certified Reiki Master (Equine & Human Tanran Lineage

   Reiki 2019)

*Certified Lifecoach specialising in Matrix Therapies

ADAM MULHOLLAND:

A talented roof plumber by trade, Adam 's involvement with horses prior to meeting Sally was limited to having the occasional bet on them! However, he has a love for animals and has discovered that he not only enjoys the quiet country life and has a talent for building "horsey" things, but he has found a passion for regenerative agriculture and farming and is pursuing this interest.

His support behind the scenes as a house husband extraordinaire, rising early to drive to competitions, feeding horses, building haysheds, constructing fencing, delivering foals, designing logos (amongst a multitude of other tasks) is invaluable in the smooth day-to-day running of a horse property. He understands his wife's passion, and in keeping with the adage "Happy wife, happy life" he has a knack for being able to find a solution to any challenge that arises.
